Typography is so cool
Short URL for this post: http://plp.me/bL4JKQI didn't know the first thing about typography two years ago, but since seeing two videos (after the jump), I really started liking it. According to Wikipedia (and Wikipedia is always right),
Typography is the art and techniques of arranging type, type design, and modifying type glyphs. Type glyphs are created and modified using a variety of illustration techniques. The arrangement of type involves the selection of typefaces, point size, line length, leading (line spacing), letter-spacing (tracking) and kerning.
I wish I was able to create things like these. Here are the two videos that got me into typography. They both use kick-ass parts from Pulp Fiction and The Devil's Advocate respectively. Check it out.
