Soooo… I was bored earlier today and decided to code a plugin just for kicks. So, lo and behold, I give you WP-Konami! Hey I never said it was useful. WP-Konami uses jQuery to add a hook listening for a Konami Code input sequence, and redirects successful sequences to a URL you specify in the options. You can get your site listed at Konami Code Sites once you have it installed, too!

Enjoy!

  1. Dope!

  2. some wicked useful thing can be to have an admin login page in stealth mode that can be activated with keyboard sequences… super cool :)

  3. Works great, thank you

  4. I can’t get to the settings page via dashboard link under the Settings in sidebar for wp-konami.

    I can get there if I go manually (type) http://www.mysite.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=wp-konami/wpkopt.php

    the link that shows if I hover the link in settings is;
    http://www.mysite.com/wp-admin/WPK_PATHwpkopt.php

    I can look at it later to code a fix but have to go out for a while and can’t get to it for a few hours if you want to have a go at a fix.

    Other than that it works fine, maybe for a new version, you can add the ability to make more codes in the settings page? that has some good possibilities.. hehe

    Thanks..

    Og

  5. @Augustine Fixed in 1.0.1

  6. Thanks! Got it and all works perfectly!

  7. I was just thinking about figuring out a way to do that to my site, and now there’s an easy wordpress plugin that does it for me! Guess I have no excuse now.

    You know, it would also be cool if you had the option of other things triggering when the code enters, instead of redirecting to a different url (like the Konami Codes site).

  8. @Random Like what? I thought about popping a prettyPhoto-like window with some message, but other than that I don’t know what could possibly be useful. Any ideas?

  9. thanks…

  10. It works fine with Firefox and so on, but in IE7 or IE8 the code will not work. Any idea?
